Playtime Padel Club Introduces Its Debut Location at Battersea Sports Centre

Press release: We are thrilled to announce the opening of our first Pop-up Padel court. We are transforming an underused basketball court into a hub for Padel enthusiasts in Battersea and the surrounding areas to enjoy! Available to book from the 4th September 2023.

Playtime Padel Club is pleased to announce its new location within the vibrant setting of Battersea Sports Centre. Created by a trio of experienced tennis coaches with a twelve-year history running a successful children's coaching program, Playtime Padel Club is embarking on a venture to revitalize underused sports areas with inventive pop-up padel courts. Driven by a shared passion for padel, their goal is to create more accessible opportunities for people to play Padel.

Padel, a global racket sport sensation, is definitely on the up. Taking place on a enclosed court it is often likened to a fusion of tennis and squash.  Superstar enthusiasts such as Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, and Andy Murray and just a small part of a fast growing base of UK players. This sport boasts a staggering worldwide player base of over 25 million individuals.

Padel has captured our attention, and Playtime Padel Club is our way of spreading that enthusiasm and generating fresh avenues for people to enjoy this invigorating sport," noted [Josh Whiteman], one of the innovative minds behind the initiative. This first forage into padel is just the begining for Playtime Padel. All being well with this test case, the trio hope to launch in Battersea Park and Barn Elms for a summer of Padel in 2024!
